Watch on your phone or tablet
To use CANAL+ on your phone or tablet, download the app from the App Store or Google Play. Logging in with your ‘My CANAL+’ details.
Create an account
When you subscribe to CANAL+ you have to create an account. Your username is your email address. You can choose your own password . This enables you to log into the app and Mijn CANAL+.
Logging into My CANAL+
To log into CANAL+ please go to the icon on the top right on www.canalplus.nl and click on LOGIN. Or go directly to https://www.canalplus.nl/mijnprofiel/. Enter your username and password. Your username is the email address you entered when you subscribed.
Watch on your laptop or computer
To use CANAL+ on your laptop or computer, you will need the following:
- A CANAL+ subscription
- Your My CANAL+ login details
- A device that meets the system requirements
- An internet connection with a minimum speed of 4 Mbit/s.
- You can watch CANAL+ on https://play.canalplus.nl
Watch on your smart TV
To watch CANAL+ on your smart TV, you need a television that supports the use of our app.
- Install the CANAL+ app from the app store on your TV.
- To log into CANAL+ and pair your TV. A QR code will appear on the screen, this can be used to log into CANAL+ and connect your TV.
- Open the CANAL+ app on your phone or tablet.
- Click on your profile (top right). In ‘Connected devices’, go to ‘Pair TV with QR code’. Follow the instructions on your TV screen.
System Requirements
Below are the minimum system requirements for the device you want to stream on.
Windows system requirements
- Windows 8.1 and above
- The app works best with the latest version of the internet browsers: Google Chrome, Firefox, or Microsoft Edge. Minimum required: Chrome 87, Firefox 94, or Edge 87.
Mac system requirements
- MacOS 10.7 and above
- Internet browser: Firefox (latest version), Safari (latest version) or Chrome (latest version). Minimum required: Safari 14.6, Chrome 87, or Firefox 94.
Apple TV system requirements:
- tvOS 14 and above
- Apple TV HD (4th generation)
- Apple TV 4K (5th generation)
- Apple TV 4k 2nd generation (6th generation)
Chromecast system requirements
- Chromecast Ultra
- Chromecast 3rd generation
- Chromecast with Google TV
- Chromecast 2nd generation: with this device you can use the app but you will not receive any updates. Check if the latest version of Chromecast is installed. To do this, go to Settings > Chromecast / casting on your TV
